![]() ![]() If you’re using RejeX on top of a quality wax, you should get about 3-4 months of good wear. I continued my conversation with the REJEX tech and this is what he said:Ī rough estimate based on personal experience. UPDATE: I emailed meguairs and will post their comment on any silicone oil in their NXT product line. Now i just need to see if it contains any silicone oil. I'm a big fan of the NXT polish, so i asked about it specifically. I’ve had discussions with the engineers at 3M and generally find the science behind their products to be top notch. It is only a cleaner/polish it contains no silicone, and it does not leave any sort of residue. If you need to prepare your paint, I can recommend 3M’s Perfect-It Fine Cut Rubbing Compound. As such, it wouldn’t be the ideal preparation for RejeX. Further, Meguiar’s NXT is a cleaner wax, so it’s designed to both clean and leave a protective wax barrier behind. Rejex wheel sealant professional#Meguiar’s makes some fine products in their professional line, but it is our understanding that many of their consumer range of products contain silicone oil. Sometimes the cloudiness disappears within 12 hours, and sometimes the RejeX needs to be stripped off for the cloudiness to dissipate.Īs a manufacturer, we believe it to be good business protocol to avoid commenting on other manufacturer’s products. When RejeX is applied on top of products that contain silicone oil, we’ve occasionally experienced problems with cloudiness. Silicone oil contaminates paint and can cause major problems if you ever have to repaint your vehicle. The other problem concerns products that contain silicone oil. So the net result of using RejeX on top of wax is that while you do get the enhanced shine, gloss and protection that RejeX affords, it won’t last nearly as long as it would had you applied it directly onto the paint. The issue is this: because waxes are so much softer and less durable than RejeX, when the wax eventually degrades and washes off, the RejeX protection will wash off with the wax (since RejeX is actually bonding to the wax and not directly to the paint). The main issue we want to bring to our customers’ attention occurs when using RejeX on top of products (waxes or polishes) that leave a wax residue behind. It will bond to almost any hard, smooth, nonporous surface. The more correct answer is that RejeX will go over almost any wax/polish product. What you’ve heard is not precisely correct. I recently email their manufacturer about a "rejex myth" that stated how using a polish before applying the rejex will prevent a proper bond to form b/t paint and rejex. All i have to do is spray.Īnyhow, i know some of you (especially those who own porsches) swear by this stuff like I do. For me, I'm still amazed at how i dont even have to appy pressure to remove bird droppings, brake dust (on the rims), etc. What: My research and conversations with tech's concerning this product.Īlthough rejex is best used when applied to a new/virigin paint job, with a good clay barring, it will make your day in ways you never thought possible. ![]() Rejex wheel sealant full#Rejex is just one product out there that works well on its own, but still requires a full paint prep regimen to ensure best performance.Purpose of this thread: to better inform IWS.com members of a fantastic product. I give Zaino the edge because it is more technically advanced, doesn't require a long cure time (when used with ZFX), and offers a complete paint care system where all the products are fully compatible with each other. Still, Rejex has outperformed everything else, like Duragloss, Meguiars NXT, Optimum Optiseal, Wolfgang, Platinum 4-Star, Auto Magic #10 sealant, etc. It's held up well all summer until recently when the Rejex side wasn't beading water as well as Zaino, and the shine dropped off some. I've been comparing Rejex to Zaino Z2 since last December on the hood of my truck. It's strictly a last step sealant, like a polymer version of a pure carnauba wax. Which Klasse are you using, AIO or SG? Rejex is like SG in that it has no paint cleaning ability. I'm going to need a new bottle of something before long so if RejeX is better I'll get it. I also would be interested if anyone has compared it to Klasse. I have been using Klasse for the last few years but Rejex sounds like a good product. What are the thoughts of applying this over it and can anyone vouch for durabilty of this say to Zaino or Klasse? I just bought two bottles from Skygeek seemed reasonably priced after hearing the comments on the board. ![]()
